The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. As part of the Rocky Mountain District, our local group has been active since 1987. Our goal is to nurture spiritual growth and maintain Christian fellowship among women within our church, further a love for and help provide for active participation in Christian service, and develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness through Mission Education, Mission Inspiration, and Mission Service.
LWML RMD Pecos Zone Fall Rally met at Grace Lutheran Church, Hobbs, NM, Saturday, August 22, 2026. It was a time of fellowship and Bible Study. The theme for the rally wass: "Faith that can move mountains" based on Matthew 17:20b: For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.
Four of our LWML members attended and two were elected to offices within the Rocky Mountain District Pecos Zone. Kathy Eyster agreed to fill the position of president and Kathryn McWilliams agreed to be the new treasurer. Thank you, ladies, for your willingness to serve in this capacity!
