Lent Begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18. The theme of this Lenten season is:
- From Depths of Woe: The Redemption of the Patriarchs -
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” (Gen. 50:20)
Over five services, the falling and rising again of five Old Testament figures will prepare us for Holy Week and the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has purchased and won us from all sins, from death and from the power of the devil. This is the alpha and omega of all Scripture, and it is the divine purpose of Genesis to prepare us to hear its melody and resound its praise.
Our Lenten worships begin at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays with soup suppers followed by a service of the Word at 6:30.
